Water Harvesting

Lately, I've been trying water harvesting.  Even have my wife doing it.  When it rains we collect water.  Any water from the tap we try to use it at least twice.  I know it sounds wierd but it does save money and we do use less water.  More to come on this subject.

Other Thrifty Way to Save Water

Men, don't shave on weekends!  Of course, the wife might not like that.

In My Opinion a Handmade Gift is Worth a Whole Lot More Than A Store Bought One

It's Valentines Day.  My daughter made me a Valentines day card.  She's 5.  The card was in the shape of a heart with her picture right in the middle of the front page.  The caption was "Roses are Red, Violets are Blue, no one is a special as you".  She also signed it which is the first time she has ever written her name.  Any gift from the heart like that is forever special - and it didn't cost anything to make.  So make your gifts.  People will appreciate them more. ...<< MORE >>

A good way to lower your monthly debt

I recommend reducing by first making a list of all of your monthly debt payments.  Start with the lowest payment and start doubling it every month.  After you pay that debt off, take that whole payment that you have been making and begin applying it to the next lowest monthly bill you have.  Follow this method until you are debt free.

Reduce water usage.

I recommend turning off the water when washing your hands or brushing your teeth.  Only use the water when you need it.  This will help lower your water usage - some say by 30 gallons a week and lower your water bill.  In addition, keep a five gallon bucket in the shower stall.  Use that water to flush the toilet or water plants outside.
